Representing their graduating cohort, the Class Orator delivers the sole student speech at the Emory College diploma ceremony.
The Class Orator represents the senior class not just in the content and tone of their speech, but as an exemplar of academic engagement and co-curricular leadership on campus. Chosen by a committee of staff, faculty, and fellow seniors, the Class Orator must apply and audition to deliver a five minute speech in front of their peers, faculty, staff, friends, and family at the Emory College diploma ceremony.
