First-Year Experience

The First-Year Experience (FYE) provides exceptional transition programming and resources that prepare new students to be successful at Emory University. We create opportunities for students to explore academic pathways, initiate social connections, practice health and well-being, and develop a sense of community and belonging, through intentional and creative collaboration with university partners.

Your First-Year Experience at Emory Consists in 3 Parts:

Summer Onboarding: Before you Arrive (May - Move-In)

  • The Summer To-Do List: All action items to complete before you arrive
  • Academic Advising & Course Registration: Everything you need to know to successfully register for your first semester courses
  • Welcome Webinars: Practical advice for preparing for your arrival & year
