Updates and Messages

Over the summer, the Orientation Team sends bi-weekly communication with updates and information to help prepare new students for the transition to Emory. Once we begin communication for the 2025-2026 school year, you will find archived messages on this page.

In order to receive essential information throughout the summer, contact information for both students and their families needs to be correct within OPUS. Only family members who are added in OPUS will receive family-specific email communications. Instructions below.

First-Year Student Messages

We will start sending bi-weekly updates and messages to first-year students on May 7, 2025.

Parent & Family Messages

We will start sending bi-weekly updates and messages to first-year parents and families on May 7, 2025.

Transfer Student Messages

We will start sending bi-weekly updates and messages to transfer students in late May 2025.

Transfer Parent & Family Messages

We will start sending bi-weekly updates and messages to transfer parents and families in late May 2025.

Updating Contact Information in OPUS

In order to receive essential information throughout the summer, contact information for both students and their families needs to be correct within OPUS. Only family members who are added in OPUS will receive family-specific email communications.

Students should update OPUS by using the following steps:

Retrieve their Emory NetID and password. This is different from the Admissions Application Portal login.
Log into OPUS using Emory NetID and password.
Click on the “Profile” tile, then update their and their family members’ contact information.
- Select “Email and Phone Numbers.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.
- Select “Parent/Guardian Addresses.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.
