Course Registration
At Emory, course registration is an on-going process, not a singular event. Building your schedule each semester will take time, patience, and planning.
Before course registration in the summer, you will:
- Review the Emory Welcome App > Course Registration section for step-by-step guides to:
- Explore course options including First-Year classes and language placement
- Review AP/IB and previous credit policies and submission guidelines
- Watch how-to tutorials to learn the processes and systems for registering
- Meet virtually twice with your OUE Academic Advisor during your Academic Advising Registration 101 and Registration Workshop appointments
- Attend webinars and watch our videos to learn more about academics and connect with staff members and fellow students
Registration 101
If you were unable to attend Part 1: Registration 101 (or just need a refresher!), OUE Advising asks that you log in with SSO to watch the 30-minute Registration 101 video in advance of attending the Workshop.
Fall 2025 Course Registration Timeline
June - July, 2025: Students meet with their OUE Academic Advisor
July 2, 2025: First-year shopping carts open
August 5 - 7, 2025: First-Year Registration
August 13 - September 10, 2025: Make schedule changes during Add/Drop/Swap
August 27, 2025: First day of classes
