We are delighted to welcome the Class of 2030 to the Emory community! Below is a high level overview of what you can expect from now until the fall.

- The Emory Welcome App will be ready to download at the end of March, 2026
- The First-Year Student To-Do List will be available at the end of March, 2026
- Bi-weekly communications to both students and families will begin on May, 2026
- Stories and posts on our Orientation Instagram will begin in May, 2026
- Orientation Experience Webinars will begin in June, 2026
- Academic Advising Part 1: Registration 101 will begin June, 2026
- Academic Advising Part 2: Registration Workshop will begin July, 2026
Update Contact Information in OPUS
Students should update OPUS by using the following steps:
- Retrieve their Emory NetID and password. This is different from the Admissions Application Portal login.
- Log into OPUS using Emory NetID and password.
- Click on the “Profile” tile, then update you and your family members’ contact information.
- Select “Email and Phone Numbers.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.
- Select “Parent/Guardian Addresses.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.
Your First-Year To-Do List
The First-Year To-Do List is a comprehensive list of action items that new students will need to complete before Move-In.
In March, follow the Getting Started section of the First-Year To-Do List to get set up in Emory systems. Then, take note of the important deadlines for May, June, July, and August. Tasks should take between 2-6 hours per month starting in May and range between setting up profiles, submitting important health-related forms, and completing required summer modules.
Below are important items included on the First-Year To-Do List that take time and preparation. Start gathering documents and scheduling appointments now to meet mandatory deadlines this summer.- Immunization Submission
- Housing Application MyHousing Portal will go live in April
- I-20 & DS-2019 for students on an F-1 visa
- Health Insurance Waiver (if applicable)
The Emory Welcome App
The Emory Welcome App is your guide to Emory! Starting in March, each incoming class has a customized version that includes everything students and families need to know throughout the summer, Registration, Move-In, Orientation Week, and the first fall semester. Orientation Schedules will populate July 15.
