Update Contact Information in OPUS

In order to receive essential information throughout the summer, contact information for both students and their families needs to be correct within OPUS. Only family members who are added in OPUS will receive family-specific email communications.

Students should update OPUS by using the following steps:

  1. Retrieve their Emory NetID and password. This is different from the Admissions Application Portal login.
  2. Log into OPUS using Emory NetID and password.
  3. Click on the “Profile” tile, then update you and your family members’ contact information.
    • Select “Email and Phone Numbers.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.
    • Select “Parent/Guardian Addresses.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.

Your First-Year To-Do List

The First-Year To-Do List is a comprehensive list of action items that new students will need to complete before Move-In.

In March, follow the Getting Started section of the First-Year To-Do List to get set up in Emory systems.  Then, take note of the important deadlines for May, June, July, and August. Tasks should take between 2-6 hours per month starting in May and range between setting up profiles, submitting important health-related forms, and completing required summer modules.

Below are important items included on the First-Year To-Do List that take time and preparation. Start gathering documents and scheduling appointments now to meet mandatory deadlines this summer.

The Emory Welcome App

The Emory Welcome App is your guide to Emory! Starting in March, each incoming class has a customized version that includes everything students and families need to know throughout the summer, Registration, Move-In, Orientation Week, and the first fall semester. Orientation Schedules will populate July 15.
