Academic Advising


All Emory College students are assigned a professional academic advisor in the Office for Undergraduate Education (OUE). Emory College Academic Advisors assist students with course planning, degree progress, and navigating challenges or concerns that may occur, and can provide referrals to appropriate campus partners to aid students in resolving concerns. The Emory College Academic Advisor assists students throughout their time at Emory College.

Emory College Academic Advising also offers Drop-in Advising via Zoom every weekday from 2 - 4 p.m. during the Fall and Spring semesters, except on University holidays. You may access the Zoom room through College Connect.

Major Advising

When students declare a major in Emory College, they are then also assigned a faculty major advisor in their chosen field of study. Faculty major advisors assist students with course selection and degree planning for their major field requirements. They can also provide guidance to students regarding career opportunities and application to graduate or professional schools.

SPECIALIZED ADVISING

Emory College and partners across campus provide specialized advising for students who are interested in certain undergraduate degrees or graduate opportunities. Professional staff members are available to help you meet your goals.

CAREER ADVISING

The Pathways Center offers resources to helps students explore professional opportunities that match their skills and interests. Students can join a Career Community to receive timely, curated information focused about a particular industry, schedule career coaching appointments and connect with employers through Handshake, connect with alumni working in fields you want to explore through Networking Nights, and even borrow an outfit for interviews through their Career Closet.
