Graduating Students Advising

Students graduating from Emory College of Arts and Sciences and/or participating in Emory Commencement should carefully review the information below.

Graduation

Graduation Requirements

Students are responsible for ensuring all graduation requirements, as listed in the Emory College of Arts and Sciences Catalog, are complete by the end of their last term in the College. Students can track their degree progress using Degree Tracker with these instructions.

Graduation Application

Students must apply to graduate. At the start of the expected graduation term, a student will receive a link to the Online Graduation Application. Students can refer to the Graduation Application Guidelines for further information, checklist, and required documents to complete the application.

The deadlines for degree application are term specific and can be found on the website for the Office of the Registrar.

Application review and certification occurs after the deadline by the Office for Undergraduate Education. Our team will only contact you if we have questions about your application.

Senior Portal

Students who plan to graduate should review the Senior Portal (login required) for information on graduation, commencement and post-graduation services. The portal will also provide personalized graduation status updates as they become available.

Commencement

All Commencement program and event information is available on the University Commencement Website, which also provides information on student regalia and preparation information, local attraction information, and details of inclement weather plans in the event of poor weather conditions.

All Commencement-related communications are sent to the Emory email address for degree applicants. Students are encouraged to check their university email regularly for commencement updates, event information, and relevant logistical information.

Commencement (and the Emory College of Arts and Sciences Diploma Ceremony) for the Class of 2024 will take place on Monday, May 13, 2024.
