Advising

Our Education Abroad Team is here to support you through your entire Education Abroad experience, from your initial questions to your return to campus. We can help you identify the program that is the best fit for you based on your academic, personal and professional goals. We also can answer questions about academic considerations, funding your Education Abroad, global health and safety, and program options. We are here to support you while you prepare to travel internationally, maybe for the first time, and while you are abroad.

Each semester, Education Abroad Peer Advisors are also available to meet with peers to discuss their study abroad experience from a student perspective.

Advising Process

Explore our Semester Abroad and/or Summer Abroad opportunities to determine which programs are a good fit for you.

When scheduling an appointment with our Education Abroad Advisors, you will see several appointment options:

For Semester Education Abroad Programs, an advising appointment is a required step in your application process. Your meeting with the advisor assigned to your program of interest will discuss academic, financial and logistical aspects of this specific Education Abroad program.

Summer Education Abroad Advising Appointment:

Summer advising will begin soon. Please check back for updates on how to make summer advising appointments. In the interim, please contact abroad@emory.edu if you have summer questions.

Funding Your Education Abroad Appointment:

Please schedule this type of appointment to explore how to afford your Education Abroad experience. This appointment can be a broader conversation about Emory’s financial aid for your study abroad program, Emory and external scholarship opportunities, and budgeting for study abroad program.
