Independent Travelers

Emory College academic departments are increasingly sponsoring their undergraduate students to engage in independent projects abroad.  These projects includes independent study, undergraduate research, or some other type of academic activity, which falls outside of our typical programs.

In order for Emory College to respond quickly to situations that may jeopardize students' well-being, such as international crisis or natural disasters, our office maintains a central registry that records details about students' travel.

Students receiving course credit or financial support from and Emory College academic department for participating in an independent project, are required to register their travels with our office.
